Tragically, a man up the road from us was struck and killed on his lawnmower about a month ago. His 3 adult male dogs were left. I've been feeding and watering them, but I have 5 dogs of my own and can not take in anymore. Sadly, one of the brown dogs has already been hit by a car and hurt its back leg and the black one looks to have been attacked by coyotes, but survived. They are both up walking and seem determined to get better. The other brown one may have some pit bull in it, but is friendly, healthy and active. They are about the size of a border collie and are good watch dogs. The dogs are located near Hwy. 69 and Whiting Road between Denison, TX and Bells, TX. I will be forced to call the pound next week unless someone is willing to rescue them. Please call me at 903-821-9114. I can text pictures to you and will meet you at your convenience.

Permalink Reply by Molly Weger on June 9, 2012 at 11:31am Thank you very much for trying to help. I called a relative to get some information. The dogs stayed outside. Don't know age, but would guess 3 to 5 years old.
Permalink Reply by Jana Arnold on June 9, 2012 at 11:20pm Molly - you are wonderful to help these dogs! We just found 2 large dogs tonight that were surrounded by coyotes. We were walking on the trail near White Rock Lake in Dallas... someone dumped these dogs. They are sweet and now they need homes too. Please email a photo of the dogs you have been caring for and I will share them with all of the Facebook and Pet Commando friends tomorrow while I'm sharing pics of the ones in Dallas. jana@petcommando.com
Permalink Reply by Molly Weger on June 12, 2012 at 9:13pm I emailed the photos. The part pit bull is named the Spanish word for "Fleabag", but I couldn't catch it. The other brown one (which now has a hurt leg from being hit by a car and was the owner's favorite) is named Elijah. The black one that has the hide ripped off his hip is named Bruno. Thank you for your help.
