Apparently the wife of the deceased owner of the dogs has been back to the property and taken some of the things that were in the yard since last we visited. The two trucks were gone, and various other of the nicer things that were in the back yard. I am sure that the loss of her spouse was devestating, but to return a month later for material things without taking the LIVING things that have feelings is very frustrating to me. The two Lab mixes seem to be getting around better, although the exposed flesh of the black ones leg still looks pretty bad. I have applied some wound dressing on it after cleaning it up and will continue to do so when I can. My buddy the Pit,,,what can I say about him? He still was as affectionate and in my face for attention as always,,he will make someone a really good companion, and if I could, I would snatch him up in a minute. Please pass the word on to friends and let's please help to get these guys into real homes with loving families. It really hurts me to visit them and seeing how they have to live on their own right now. Molly still feeds them every day and spends some time with them, but the longer they stay without supervision, the worse their odds are going to be. The turn-around time before puting dogs down at the local shelter is said to be three days, that is not much of a chance at all to find a home if they are taken there. I will do everything I can to find these guys a home, but the more of us that try also, the better the chances.
