NEW REALITY TV SERIES PET COMMANDO PREMIERS SEPT. 17

Madman Interactive's New TV Series "Pet Commando" premiers Saturday, September 17th

This new reality series gives viewers an inspiring look into the life of a commando-style rescuer of abandoned and abused pets.

Louis Pollaro is the Pet Commando as he rescues starving cats and dogs from the streets or risks arrest entering abandoned homes where animals were left behind to fend for themselves. Now viewers will get an unprecedented look at what one person can do to make a difference and save the lives of pets in “Pet Commando” which debuts with the episode "The Rescue of Cleo," Friday, September 17th on PetCommando.com, BlipTV.com, iTunes plus other online video channels.

Comprised of 13 half-hour episodes shot entirely on location in North Texas, "Pet Commando" is meant to be a positive influence inspiring others to see that they can also make a difference. Produced by Madman Interactive, the series takes cameras into situations never before seen on television, with each episode covering the front line with Pet Commando as he does what it takes to rescue animals that are often dying in plain sight. Pet Commando’s missions include everything from getting water to a dying animal, to confronting animal abusers and police, to taking a cat or dog to the vet for medical attention or the groomer for a makeover, to finding the animal a good a home.

"There is an epidemic of abandoned and abused pets as people are forced out of foreclosed homes," said Pollaro. "I, along with my Shih Tzu Yoshi, do whatever it takes to help these animals that depend on us. What viewers will see is powerful, dramatic, amazing and emotional, with unexpected moments of humor."

The premiere episode, "The Rescue of Cleo," takes viewers to the streets of a small Texas town during the scorching summer where a cat with half a tail lies starving on a busy street corner as people pass by without realizing. Pet Commando gives the weak kitty food and water, then takes it to a vet to have it tested for deadly diseases to see if it can be saved in time.

"Pet Commando" is inspiring and full of information for pet owners and would-be pet commandos. Pollaro is a regular guy trying to make a difference. He learns as he goes, asking advice of veterinarians, dog groomers and other professionals along the way.

The series is executive produced by Damir Perge and Jana Arnold. Louis Pollaro is supervising producer, and Charlies Cook is creating original music for the show. "Pet Commando" is a Madman Interactive Production.
