I am employed with the City of Denison. Im I thought the largest animal lover on the planet then I was told of this website.. I come across abandoned animal daily and I try to save all but im not fortunate enough to take care of more than I already have. I was advised of your page in hopes of saving some of the animals I know need to be rescued.
Angela, I am so glad to have a Pet Commando like you join us. We are all here to help each other and inspire each other to help animals in need. You can post pets needing homes on the Sherman / Denison Pet Commando Message board. We will do all we can to help them find homes - through the Pet Commando community and our Facebook friends.
One thing you can do to help animals in need is to invite others to join our community and to watch the show so they can be inspired to help animals.
Sorry you lost your dog to heartworms, I had one years ago that I rescued that was too late to save due to heartworms also, I hadn't had her long, but long enough to get close to her. About the Pit, I am off Thurs. and Friday, if you let me know where to go, I will go check out the situation, and see what we can do about it, it may take a couple of days, but I can go and spend some time with it to kind of assess it, and then try to find a home for it. Shelters often refuse Pits or put them down immediately, so it would be best not to have it go there. You can contact me on my cell, or send a more detailed message to my in-box by messaging if you do not want contact info displayed for everyone. My cell is 903-267-5105, if I miss the call please leave a message.
Please let us know the details of any animals in need of help and we will do whatever we possibly can, you will find that the whole Commando community is full of people doing what they can for animals in need. Thanks for finding us.
