A small Iowa town has forced a retired Chicago cop and Vietnam veteran to part with the service dog who was helping him cope with a profound stroke that left him with no feeling on the right half of his body.

Awesome pic, one of my favorite dogs ever was a Harlequin Dane that I had, I miss him greatly. It amazes me how much a Dane will intimidate people that see them without knowing them, but there is not a more gentle giant among the breeds than the Great Dane. (Just gotta watch out for the tail!)
