Thank you, the black one is female, brown one is male, both are fixed, not aggressive, I pray they were not dumped but happens too often out here. We are in Sadler on Brooks Lane, they obviously were inside dogs too, they try to come inside! They have been good about not bothering my chickens. I wish I could just keep them, but my boxer is not accepting of other dogs, it would take lots of work, and the hubby says NO any help would b great. I posted to Facebook as well but I am somewhat new to Texoma so not too many contacts in this area.
My grand daughter brought him to me 2 nights ago after her car went over him on a major highway. He was so skinny, frail, and scared. It took me 24 hours to figure out that he wouldn't eat because he is a puppy (puppy breath :)) so I fed him warm milk and softened Iams dog food. I can't believe that people can be so cruel!!! He was scheduled to go to Shear Pawfections Safe Haven this morning but cancelled because he is now my puppy, Gizmo. You can't imagine what love can do. In 24 hours, can't see his ribs, no crying, at my feet, obeys every command. We prayed last night and God has provided :)! Please everyone out there, share the love!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Robert! Thanks for your comment. Still trying to find a home for Midway! He will be a great dog for a loving family... Have a wonderful day! Margaret
Thanks. We are doing well. The boys are still going, but only once every two weeks. Having two kids slowed things down a bit for us. :)
We have started a Texoma pets lost and found group and would love to work with you to help unite pets back to their owners. Can I share your link and you share ours?
Robert, thanks! It was great meeting you guys and chatting a bit. Yes, my sister has a huge heart. Now, I don't want Louis to feel any less special but Hank has never met a garbage can or trash sack he didn't like, either :) lol
Hi, Robert! Minimal luck with KittyTom. Best we have is sending him to South Carolina. Simply, no one wants an adult cat! I've got one more lead to check, but looks like KT is going on a road trip. I have a family member in SC who will take him as a last resort!
Just FYI, Jings, the "teacup panther" is also up for adoption. He and KT belonged to the same lady. I'd like to keep Jings, but he's an outdoor cat, and we're moving to a highly populated area. So, I'm worried about how he'll adjust. We'll see!
I just got the little guy a week ago this friday. he is mixed with Shepard but has all the Rhodesian traits. never had one but he is beautiful. I have so many family members who now want one. He is so adorable. Lots of training right now.
Yes I will just call you b/c where this poor dog is located would be hard to give directions too. Plus she is use to me for sure... I get off work at 3:30 tomorrow but I will be unavailable till 5. Friday after 3:30 would be fine as well. If u would like to call me my # is 903-462-3059.. Thank you for your help and I am very glad to have been informed of all you are doing for the animals.. I felt like I was the only one out here caring for all of them....
I have called the dog catcher b/c I feel it is very cruel to leave her back there like that and he does nothing about it. I cant chance bringing her to my home where I can barely afford to feed the ones I have here.. I wished I can find some help finding her a home...
Well hello and thank you for such a warm welcome... As I said I work for the city and I read water meters. I come across lost or abandoned animal quite regularly. At the moment I have been going and feeding a female pit that someone has tied up in a back yard of an abandoned home.. She had like 8 pups and some of the neighbors took the pups but no one that I have seen in the last month has takin care of the mother dog and feel so sorry for her. I try to go feed her every other day
Yuk, Yuk, Yuk, yes we're "winging" it. :-) And, the Deer Run Five (kids) are enjoying giving them lots of handling. These kittens will be so very comfortable around people!
What I learned today: 55 lb pit bull mixes can be chickens and will run into the next county if not on a leash. lol I took Bodie for his first walk outside the yard today. We got down the street and he heard a dog barking at some workers and the workers were taking stuff and putting it in the trash. At the same time a really loud truck came up the hill. I had an eye on his body language and was ready for him when he stopped dead, tucked tail, laid ears back, turned and headed at a dead run back in the direction we had come. I pulled him up short but he fought to get to the end of the leash all the way home. Poor baby crawled up on the couch and passed out from the stress of it all. lol
We adore him, Robert. We named him Bodie (unless something that fits him better comes along). He quickly learned "sit" and is trying to understand "down". I think he had never seen a cat. He has gotten so he does fine with them unless a squabble breaks out and then he thinks he wants to get in the middle of it and see what's going on. We still keep a close eye on him. Alessandra is afraid he's too much dog for her (I'll be honest) but I think as he gets obedience trained and she knows he won't lung at the cats or another dog, she'll be okay. He's incredibly smart and eager to learn. She revealed she really wanted a female pit, so if another female pit mix comes along that can get along with him..... (wink, wink)
Thank you for the welcome. Yes, my 3 yorkies scare my poor Doberman to pieces. Deuce is a sweetheart but they make sure he is not aware of how much bigger he is than they are!
Thanks for the feedback. I like to do things as well as I can. I've read and questioned vets to the "inth" degree. I had to do this after failing a dog I had as a teenager. She haunts me. I decided it would never happen again. I've learned to nurse various dogs thru many physical conditions and do not want others to suffer if I can intervene. I try to do all I can physically handle. I always thought that if I were an animal, I'd be a dog (but I would want to live with someone like me).
This is Stormy, a female German Shepherd that was dumped and is being fostered, but needs a home. I am told she is housebroken, great with people and dogs. Call 903-267-5105 to speak to Robert

Thank you so much, Robert. You are awesome. Maybe someone will see him there and fall in love with him. Have a great weekend!
