I don't know about poor little Chewbaka and the other dog, Lea. I have my suspicions that JoAnn is still trying to keep them. Her sister Sue, who is my neighbor, is very reclusive and I don't see Sue much. I think, too, since Sue's attempted intervention didn't go as positively as planned, that she is somewhat embarrassed and feels things are at a stalemate as far as further discussion with JoAnn. However, I will try to approach Sue again and get back with you. "Chewie" was such a cutie and had such a sweet personality that I was tempted to keep him myself, but.....
Good to hear that the organization and its outreach capabilities are growing. That makes more things possible.
As far as an update, did Bob Copeland ever get you any pics of Annabelle? I think I have a hunch about the answer on this. Annabelle is still available. That dog needs a man with a pick up truck and active lifestyle.

Thanks for the warm welcome Louis, My Aja Bleu is a girl. :) And I have uploaded a few more photos. It would be great to connect with other people in my area that have the same mission. To save animals!!!
Thanks, Louis. Found you on Twitter. Will be interested in exploring your website, and like you, we try to do all within our means for animal charities.

Thank you Louis. And I want to commend you for doing a much need job. Bless you for that.
Well, Louis, If you look below, at 6:21 yesterday, you'll see for yourself from whence the deer came--they started as Paul's, but I'm sharing 2 acres of my place with them. Let everybody else have boring Christmas decorations that just STAND there (albeit adorned with tiny white lights)--
MY decorations will come up and eat from your hand! ;)
Nothing on Roxy yet. I have been checking all the shelters, newspaper ads, and craigslist ads. More often than I would like I will see a dog that looks just like her, and it ends up being a boy or something. I have talked to a couple neighbors and they haven't seen her, only reported that they have also lost pets (some on the same day). So, I'm wondering, an I hate to say it, but the coyotes may have got her. It kills me to think about that. But until I have some evidence I will keep looking.
I'm glad to help! I have 5 shih tzus and recently acquired a wayward kitten. I would hope if something happened to any of them, that I could rely on our community for help!
There are certain breeds and characteristics of dogs and cats that snore. Animals snore for the same reason as humans do. The top 3 causes for any pet's snoring are 1.Allergies 2.weight gain 3. side effects from medication
In the feline world, the Himalayan and Persian cats are bred for the 'pushed in' look.
In the dog world, usually the Brach cephalic breeds (pushed in faces) that have been genetically manipulated and have too much tissue in a small space. These breeds are Bulldogs, Pugs, Boxers, Pekingese, Lhasa apso, Shih Tzu, and Shar Pei.
She was last seen at our house in Sherman, TX off of 289. Nobody knows exactly when or how she got outside. She's such a quiet dog, I thought she was just hanging out in one of her spots when I realized she wasn't here.

This is Louie.......the ROC. He so needs a friend. Still looking though........
Louis, I had a telecon with Susan, my neighbor, who is in OK taking care of her post-op mother. She said JoAnn, her sister who has the dogs, is "in denial" about needing to place the dogs. JoAnn is presently unemployed and has been relying on friends and family to provide food for the animals. That's deep denial. Susan said she and her brother planned an intervention with JoAnn about the dogs. Will keep you posted. d
Louis, I will check on the situation with the two dogs. Not sure if my neighbor will return today or not so I could ask for an update. They're in the process of getting their phone so I may not be able to get back with you today but will do so at the soonest possibility. Thanks for your continued concern. d
thank you for your kind comments. The training game has been really great.... let me know if you would like to implement it somehow in your shows and I will gladly forward you a copy.

Hi Louis:) It took me a little bit to get back to your comment~~ this is a wonderful thing that you are doing. I know I'm far away from north Texas, but I will do what I can down this way. I've not been to the Greyhound Hall of Fame~~but may make it up there some day. I have looked at the Greyhound Database on the web.
Thanks so much for the add !! Been trying to do my part for years ... I have 7 dogs right now, but have had as many as 19 at one time ! Wish I could do more but have to stay realistic ! :)
Reminds me of a story my mom told me. She lived out in the country for many years and she fed all the animals: skunks, coons, a grey fox, wild turkey several wild cats..and 3-4 dogs. She was out feeding them in one of her many feeding spots and she has this big ball of dust fall on her shoulder, she went to dust it off and a 1000 spiders started scattering all over her. She said she looked like a mad woman out there convulsing try to knock them off. I laugh thinking about her telling the story. Miss my mom. She was quite a woman!
Thank you for accepting my "friend request" I have seen all your rescue videos and thought they were wonderful. God bless the "Pet Commando " In all you do. You do a wonderful, much needed job!
