Angela, I am so glad to have a Pet Commando like you join us. We are all here to help each other and inspire each other to help animals in need. You can post pets needing homes on the Sherman / Denison Pet Commando Message board. We will do all we can to help them find homes - through the Pet Commando community and our Facebook friends.

One thing you can do to help animals in need is to invite others to join our community and to watch the show so they can be inspired to help animals.

Sorry you lost your dog to heartworms, I had one years ago that I rescued that was too late to save due to heartworms also, I hadn't had her long, but long enough to get close to her.  About the Pit, I am off Thurs. and Friday, if you let me know where to go, I will go check out the situation, and see what we can do about it, it may take a couple of days, but I can go and spend some time with it to kind of assess it, and then try to find a home for it.  Shelters often refuse Pits or put them down immediately, so it would be best not to have it go there.  You can contact me on my cell, or send a more detailed message to my in-box by messaging if you do not want contact info displayed for everyone.  My cell is 903-267-5105, if I miss the call please leave a message.
